Classic MB SL car radio repair Becker BE754

There are many classic car fans who wants to have their cars fully original and in perfect condition. We got few Mercedes Benz radios - Becker Grand prix BE 754 with similar problems: display either shows  ( - - - - ) or display is hardly readable with random dashes on the screen:






We couldn't find any solution online, so we decided to fix ourselves. Here is the same radio in fully working condition:
